Helen Fay
Helen Fay studied at Newcastle College of Art and Design, Sunderland University and at The Royal College of Art in London, where she specialised in Natural History Illustration.

Helen Fay works in Glasgow and her principal output is of etchings of birds and animals. She has an in depth involvement with and feeling for these subjects and has studied animal life in India, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Ecuador and the USA.

In addition to receiving awards and prizes, Helen Fay’s work has been shown in many galleries and venues both in the UK and overseas. In recent years she has had three solo shows in Glasgow. Her work has been selected for annual exhibitions at the Royal Glasgow Institute, the Society of Scottish Artists and at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London, where she sold the complete edition of one of her prints, leading to the reviewing of her work on television.

Helen Fay’s designs for rugs are colourful and totally original – a striking contrast to her beautifully detailed monotone prints of animals and birds.
